SAP Ariba 2011 release contains Web Assistant for Guided Sourcing (new UI)

Dear community,

I have the pleasure to announce more exciting news – with the SAP Ariba 2011 release we will see an integration SAP Enable Now Web Assistant available for Guided Sourcing.

Overview

We have been working together with the SAP Ariba team to make this happen and are now happy to present the first step of a wider rollout of the Web Assistant for SAP Ariba. The first module in which the Web Assistant is available is the Guided Sourcing (new UI).

Take a sneak peek here:

A closer look

For starters, customers will have the Web Assistant available and prefilled with standard content. The extensibility feature is on the roadmap.

This standard content includes many context help bubbles (as seen in the screenshot above) and a guided tour.

You can start the Web Assistant inside of Guided Sourcing by clicking on the little box with the question mark on the right side of the screen as seen here:

To be continued

This is only the first step for the Web Assistant availability in SAP Ariba. We will be working hard to provide this feature in more SAP Ariba modules and enable the extensibility so that customers can create their own content to be displayed.

Here are some official resources covering this new SAP Ariba feature:

I hope you are as excited as I am about these news!

If you have any questions, please reach out to your SAP Ariba Customer Engagement Executive.

Take care,

Kristina
