Having issues with scheduling your Custom Bot in SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation?

While trying to run custom bot in scheduled mode, there were a few obstacles to execute it in a smooth manner. In this blog, I’d like to share with you some points which would help in developing your bot to run in a scheduled mode.

Firstly, while creating your workflow make sure to create it in Global. In case you have created your scenario in a new workflow, and you are unable to run your bot in scheduled mode. You can easily drag the scenario and drop it under Global and build your project again.

Secondly, while declaring new variables, make sure the variables are not declared in the scenario step. It is always a good practice to define new variables in the steps after the Global scenario step. The scenario step contains details pertaining to the step and scenario time outs and step by step flow of your bot.

Thirdly, before scheduling your bot, make sure to set you desktop agent to Background (Unattended)mode. After making the required changes in Desktop Agent, you could verify the same in Cloud factory tenant Agents tab. Hover over the mode icon to verify if the mode is unattended.

Hope this helps you in successfully running your custom bot in scheduled mode!

Thanks,
Preethi
