Spotlight: Finding End-to-End Help – SAP HANA Cloud

Previously, when I was authoring the SAP HANA SQL Reference Guide, I provided you with lists of “handy links” to help you find the various other guides for releases of SAP HANA Platform.

This blog post attempts a similar feat but is targeted to those who are just getting familiar with SAP HANA Cloud. Specifically, this curated list acquaints you with the following information sources available to you, with topics sequenced in the order you’re likely to want to encounter them:

  • Product documentation (‘single source of truth’)
  • Articles and learning tracks in SAP HANA Journey
  • Videos on SAP HANA Academy’s YouTube channel
  • Tutorials by SAP development experts
  • Blog posts from SAP development experts
  • SAP Notes

Be sure to visit SAP HANA Academy‘s YouTube playlist, SAP HANA Cloud, for deep-dive videos on developing applications for SAP HANA Cloud — they are really excellent.

Good handy collection as a start point. It is often a confusion as you start knowing a new skillset or updating knowledge about a resource, where all you need to look in and much time is wasted to look around. Very timely post, given the increasing focus on SAP HANA Cloud.

Thanks, Subhrajit, I agree with your sentiments. Also, many newer users mention they didn't know other helpful SAP content sources was available for some topics (besides doc); hopefully this post will also help acquaint them with those sources.

Dear Krishna -- Thank you very much for your comment. I think you may enjoy bookmarking this format (topic) instead: End-to-End Resources for the SAP HANA Cloud, SAP HANA database component, if only for the overview-ish guide it resides in. At times it may also contain extra information that doesn't fit as well in a blog post.
