In this blog-post, we will understand the Calendar personalization feature in Cloud for Customer, how to enable it, and what are its limitations.

By default, a Calendar  WCV in Cloud for Customer displays your Calendar which lists all the activities that you are a part of. We do have certain default filters in appointments.

Filters based on time which will control the calendar layout itself.

You can use the Agenda filter to view only the activities for that day ignoring the free time.

You also have filters based on the Type and Status of the Activities.

Calendar personalization:

If the above filters are not what you need and you require further personalization to the calendar as per your preference, you can make use of the Calendar Personalization feature.

Taking the Activity of Type Appointment as an example we will walk through how to create a Personalized filter and add it to the calendar.
Let's consider a use case of a manager who wants to see only his Appointments of immediate priority in his calendar.

As a first step, you need to create your preferred filter in the WCV of the respective activity.
You should always use the My Activity filters like My Appointment, My Phone call to create the personalized filter.

Once you have entered your Custom filter criteria click on "Save Query As", Enter your preferred description of the query and Save it.

Refresh the browser Screen completely and Go back to the Calendar WCV. Start the personalization. You will see the Calendar pane where you can choose the query.

On choosing the query you can see that the filter is applied to the calendar.

End the Personalization and As you can see in the below image the calendar is filtered out for Immediate priority appointments.

There are certain limitations to this feature and not all the fields available in the advanced filter are supported.
SAP has published a KBA which lists the supported and unsupported fields.
