Inside SAP S/4HANA Anniversary – Celebrating one year of product expertise by podcast

It’s time to celebrate with our S/4HANA community! Our podcast is one year old.

As we wrote in our blog several months ago, in times like these it is even more crucial to find new, innovative ways to share and spread knowledge amongst our community. Our podcast was designed to contribute to this.

This month marks an important landmark for us, because it has been one year since we published the very first episode of our Podcast InsideSAPS/4HANA. With this happy event, we want to reflect how our podcast evolved over these past 12 months and share with you some information on how and why we started it, how it was perceived until now and what we plan for the future. If you want to know more, make sure to check out our special anniversary episode, where we hosts, Corina Kinzel and I, go into even more detail.

What is our vision?

While there are many excellent SAP podcasts out there, like the SAP Expert podcast from Alexander Greb, we noticed a gap in the range of product expertise and project deep dive. So, we wanted to fill this gap with a podcast, that on one hand presented successful go-lives and lessons learned from implementation projects from product experts to product experts. On the other hand, we were also very keen in showing other viewpoints on how to best achieve customer success with SAP S/4HANA, mainly by focusing on project and product experience from SAP experts, but also from partners and customers. We see this format as a possibility to learn from each other, be it inside SAP or outside – there are many projects from which we can learn and continuously improve.

A look back…

The first Inside SAP S/4HANA Episode was published on October 25, 2019. Now, one year later, we have come a long way: 50 episodes are available in our podcast’s library, including episodes in Spanish and Portuguese. And in addition to that, several episodes from our podcast are being partially or completely localized into a Mandarin version by our colleagues in China to be published on the Chinese platformWeixin and WeChat.

Over the course of these past 12 months, the episodes of Inside SAP S/4HANA have been downloaded more than 50.000 times in total, meaning on average every episode was downloaded more than 1.000 times. This makes us very proud and thankful at the same time. Proud, because we see that the topics we share and the format we chose for them resonate in such a positive way with our audience. Thankful, because seeing this support for our format gives us meaning and motivation to continually deliver a podcast which enables our partners, customers and also colleagues.

What is planned for the future?

We will continue to explore more exciting SAP S/4HANA related themes. Upcoming highlights include an episode on Central Finance with our host Ulrich Hauke and furthermore we are very pleased to announce that Jan Gilg, president of SAP S/4HANA, will be joining Yannick Peterschmitt to talk about SAP S/4HANA vision and execution

To conclude, we want to emphasize, that Inside SAP S/4HANA is first and foremost about giving you the opportunity to speak about topics in and around SAP S/4HANA that are close to your heart. Do you want to share your insights and experiences? Please feel free to reach out to us via

Lastly, wwant to thank our speakers, for their engagement and time, and of course we want to thank you, all our listeners, for your continuing support!

Take care, stay safe and be Inside SAP S/4HANA.
