With the upcoming release quickly approaching, I wanted to provide an overview of some of the second half (2H) 2020 enhancements for SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting. As you read through this list, as well as additional items on the What’s New Viewer, it’s important to note that several of these items are based on customer feedback. It’s exciting to see this collaboration between our teams and customers as we reach the one-year mark of our HXM journey.

As you can see, our continued focus on delivering meaningful experiences is captured in this release, with specific emphasis on simplifying the processes and workflows required to support the end-to-end recruiting experience. Whether automating or extending your job postings, improving the look and feel of your career site, or streamlining your candidate engagement, these enhancements will help to make life easier for recruiters, administrators, and candidates.

Here’s a quick snapshot of some of the 2H2020 enhancements for SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting:

Job Posting Enhancements

Elimination of Recruiting Posting Job Credits: We have eliminated the consumption-based job credit model for our SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting customers, now allowing unlimited postings at no additional cost (effective July 2020). This simplifies the job posting process and provides added value by eliminating the management and purchasing of credits. Please note that you will still be charged by the Job Boards.

Unlimited job postings

European Union Access Service Supported: To help customers adhere to data protection and privacy requirements, Recruiting Posting now supports the EU access service from SAP. The EU access service from SAP restricts remote data access and data storage for countries where it’s required by European law. Note that we do recommend checking with your local regulations and compliance officers when using this feature.

Simplified Recruiting Posting Enablement: In order to reduce the time and resources required to enable Recruiting Posting, we’ve simplified the process with no exclusive configuration required in Provisioning.

Email Notifications Enhancements for Automated Job Postings: When leveraging the automated job posting capability, users can now receive notifications that indicate if the posting was successful, unsuccessful, or partially unsuccessful. If the status is failed or partially succeeded, the user will be provided with insights into the cause, such as a field type not being pre-populated according to the defined field constraints. These enhancements provide users with greater visibility into posting status and insights to resolve unsuccessful postings.

New Job Boards in the Job Board Market Place: 14 new job boards have been added to the Recruiting Posting catalog, spanning Argentina, Belgium, Germany, Lithuania, Slovenia, UAE, UK, and USA.

Career Site & Candidate Portal Enhancements

Email Verification with One-Time Password for New Candidate Account: In addition to efficiency and simplification, we are continually focused on security, both for our customers and your users. With our new One-time password (OTP) via email verification, applicants will receive an OTP to authenticate the user for a single login session. The applicant will then be prompted to change their password. This feature is recommended for security and will be pushed to all customers, with the ability to opt out if desired.

Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics in All Career Site Pages: Based on customer feedback, we now support the ability to track Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics IDs in all careers site pages, including those that are administered in SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting, such as the Job Application, Candidate Profile, and Create an Account pages. This enables tracking throughout an entire career site, providing comprehensive metrics and insights.

Additional Branding, Layout & SEO Options: Several additional career site builder enhancements are available, including:

  • Custom header logo option to optimize display on desktop and mobile

  • Support of Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) images

  • Padding, spacing and image refinement options for better control on how content is displayed

  • Duplication of an existing component on a page layout versus recreating

  • Link Hover color options to better align with branding

  • Meta images to associate them with your career site in social media posts

  • Admin control of SEO settings for Top Jobs page (previously only available in Control Center tool)

Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) Enhancements

Add to Talent Pool from Inline Resume Viewer: We have streamlined the workflow for adding an applicant or candidate to a Talent Pool from the Resume Viewer screen. Now, while viewing a resume, you can choose to add that person to a specified talent pool. This allows you to you to take immediate action while in the context of the resume.

Interview Scheduling Enhancements

Modern Authentication for Integrating Interview Scheduling with Microsoft Outlook 365: Microsoft recently announced its plans to decommission Basic Authentication for Exchange Web Services (EWS) during the second half of 2021 and recommends customers to move to Modern Authentication. To support this transition for our customers, Interview Scheduling now supports Modern Authentication to integrate with Microsoft Outlook 365.

We are excited to deliver these new innovations and continue our path to HXM with our Recruiting customers.  For additional roadmap information, be sure to check out the detailed roadmap session available on-demand from SuccessConnect.
