Optimizing Sales Activities

Activity reporting is usually part of every CRM-Implementation at enterprises in various industries. Activity reporting enables Sales Representatives or Performance Managers to evaluate the activities (visits, calls, mails, etc.) that have been executed at a specific customer.

Activity reporting is critical to identify patterns and to make improvements to conversion rates.

What is often missing from activity reporting is the prediction of a monetary value of a recent or planned sales activity.  Prediction models can provide forecasted values of future activities. This prediction enables Sales Representatives to act according to the given corporate strategy, ensuring they are investing their time on the activities that are predicted to yield the best results.

 

Content for Sales Activities Prediction on SAP Data Intelligence

Recently our company, Syskoplan Reply, participated in an SAP-sponsored SAP Data Intelligence Content Sprint-At-Home virtual event. During this content sprint we focused on the business opportunity to predict sales activities.

We have created Activity Value Prediction, which addresses the functional gap of predicting monetary value of planned sales activities.  The solution is called AVALON and works with activities in SAP’s Cloud for Sales, SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP CRM solutions.

To predict the value of sales activities Reply’s AVALON uses prediction models integrated in SAP Data Intelligence. The activity reporting of AVALON uses SAP Analytics Cloud provides a comprehensive view of the results of the prediction.

Sales Representatives can invest their time in an optimized way and ineffective activities are avoided. The prediction model of AVALON provides forecasted values of future activities. Together with a custom specific model, Sales Representatives, can act according to the given corporate strategy.

Based on the prediction model of AVALON the capacity for the activities that will be executed at recent and future customer are optimized. Therefore, Sales Managers can optimize their team size and can predict how much revenue is generated by additional activities.

As you can see in the following diagram, AVALON is based on the SAP’s Business Technology Platform, integrating SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Data Warehouse Cloud with SAP Data Intelligence in a seamless way.  Notice that the content also includes integration to SAP Cloud for Sales, SAP S/4HANA for the net sales revenue, and SAP CRM. This guarantees flexibility and user-friendliness.

 

 

The prepackaged content includes connection templates, the ML Scenario, the Jupyter Notebooks, the data pipeline modeling, the tables, views and Stories, and other details needed to make this business opportunity a reality.
