What’s New in SAP SuccessFactors Performance and Goals for the 2H 2020 Release?

As you all know, SAP SuccessFactors has moved from a quarterly to bi-annual release cycle.  But fewer releases don’t mean fewer innovations.  In fact, our releases are packed with even more new capabilities!  This is certainly true of the SAP SuccessFactors Performance and Goals solution.  While I won’t list every enhancement coming out in the second half (2H) 2020 release, I will share the ones I think our customers will find extremely valuable, as they help optimize the employee experience to further deliver on the vision of Human Experience Management (HXM).

Feedback Redesign

What is it?

In our continued effort to help customers build a culture of feedback, we’ve redesigned our feedback experience.  It helps guide employees and managers when giving and requesting feedback, leveraging a question-based approach.  Feedback is then presented in a new card design layout.

Why should you care?

This guided experience helps employees and managers provide clear, relevant and actionable feedback.  It also provides recipients with necessary context to better understand feedback.  And this is all presented in a new card design layout that makes it easier to consume the information.

Redesigned Goals Experience

What is it?

We’ve also redesigned the goal experience for customers by bringing together the display of both performance and development goals.  Like Feedback, goals are displayed using a modern card design layout.

Why should you care?

You no longer need to navigate between different areas of the application; all your goals are accessible from the same view.  Also, with one click, you can drill down for more information to see the details related to your goals.  And the new card design makes it easier to consume this information.

Continuous Performance Management (CPM) for Multiple Roles

What is it?

Now anyone in your organization can leverage CPM for continuous dialogue and 1:1 meetings.

Why should you care?

Customers are no longer limited to traditional manager-direct report relationships when using CPM.  You can now use CPM in more agile organizations, and with non-traditional relationships including project leads and matrix managers.
