The team from SAP Enterprise Product Development based in Shanghai, hosted the Design both where they introduced key features and value points of our latest PLM Cloud solution called SAP Enterprise Product Development to several potential customers and partners.

SAP Enterprise Product Development provides several different capabilities that let you reimagine innovations of your products. It comprises of four main capabilities including engineering / requirements management, collaboration, visualization as well as connected products.

The engineering capability allows companies to effectively incorporate experience data related to products and its users, allowing them to consolidate the true voice of the customer into product engineering and development. Engineers and product developers are able to translate product requirements into multi-disciplinary digital models for further synthesis, simulation and optimization.

Product engineers can conquer complexity by efficiently managing complex products across different engineering disciplines including mechanical, electrical, electronics and software. By binding engineering and business, companies can accomplish a true model-based systems engineering approach throughout their company

The collaboration capability supports you to combine people’s expertise across organizational boundaries. Network partners can better envision and develop and idea, increasing competitiveness together. Digital collaboration brings geographically dispersed team members closer, enabling constructive collaboration and eliminating isolated silo knowledge. Your interdisciplinary team can now accelerate progress with improved workflows and access to the right design files or content on time and anywhere.

Visualization enables a visual digital thread that empowers people throughout the enterprise with insights to improve key business decisions from Design to Operate. Digitally transform and simplify the User Experience (UX) by accessing information visually, and leverage visualizations as the oldest and most natural form of communication to provide “In Context” visual learning and retention of product and asset information.

Connected Products allows manufacturing industries to develop and monetize value added digital services like virtual sensors and prescriptive services. By supporting close-loop feedback process, SAP Enterprise Product Development closes the gap between customers and product development.

Overall, SAP Enterprise Product Development had attracted high interest from the Chinese market and we are very optimistic moving forward with SAP Product Lifecycle Management Solutions.
