Fresh from the oven!

I am happy to announce that as of today, “SAP Cloud Platform Continuous Integration and Delivery” is part of the SAP Cloud Platform trial.

Getting started

To start your trial of SAP Cloud Platform Continuous Integration and Delivery, open-up your SAP Cloud Platform trial account and create a sub-account in one of the following regions - Europe (Frankfurt) - AWS or US East (VA) - AWS.

You will see the SAP Cloud Platform Continuous Integration and Delivery in the Subscriptions Tab.

Open it and subscribe to the service.

If your trial account in the supported region already existed, then you need to entitle SAP Cloud Platform Continuous Integration and Delivery to it before being able to execute the steps above:

  • Open the Entitlements menu

  • Configure Entitlements, then Add Service Plans

  • Search for Continuous Integration & Delivery, select the trial-plan, and Add 1 Service Plan

  • Going back to the Subscriptions of your subaccount, you are able to see SAP Cloud Platform Continuous Integration and Delivery Service Tile.

To be able to test the full functionality of the service, you need to grant your user the Administrator role. To do so, follow these steps:

    • In your subaccount in the SAP Cloud Platform cockpit, choose Security, then click on Trust Configuration

    • Choose the name of your identity provider.

    • Enter your e-mail address

    • Choose Show Assignments

    • If the user is new to the subaccount, choose Add User in the Confirmation dialog.

    • Choose Assign Role Collection.

    • From the dropdown list, select the CICD Service Administrator role.

Now you can access the SAP Cloud Platform Continuous Integration and Delivery via the link "Go to Application" in the  Continuous Integration and Delivery Service Tile.

Follow our documentation to configure and run your first predefined CI/CD pipeline now for your SAPUI5/SAP Fiori application or your application following the Cloud Application Programming Model!

The following limitations apply when using SAP Cloud Platform Continuous Integration and Delivery in a trial account:

  • In a trial account, you can only create two jobs.

  • In a trial account, you can only run one build at a time.

Have fun!
