Staying in touch with the Kyma team

Now that “SAP Cloud Platform, Kyma runtime” is available for a couple of months, we want to hear from you! We are eager to answer any question and hear what improvements you would like to see in the product.

Use any of the following paths:

Share improvements

Kyma runtime is part of the SAP Cloud Platform Extension Suite. Therefore, you can submit your ideas on the SAP Customer Influence page via the dedicated continuous influence opportunity.

You can take it one step further: Kyma runtime is based on the Kyma open source project. Every new version of Kyma open source is being pushed to the Kyma runtime a couple of days later. Thus, suggest ideas as feature request directly on GitHub.com. If you want to influence the product even more, create your pull request in https://github.com/kyma-project/.

Personally, I have been part of the “Enable influence on SAP products”-journey nearly all my professional career. Let’s face it: I don’t think there is any more influencial path then directly suggesting code changes.

PS: Talk to two of our Kyma evangelists directly today at 3:00pm CET. Register for the session!

  • Hi Marco,

when do you expect do have a specific roadmap ready e.g. when specific services /support are planned to be available on Kyma (e.g. Cloud Connector, CAP support, AppRouter)? Currently, the roadmap shows “Availability on additional cloud providers” as the only roadmap item.

    • Hello Nico Katz,

At this point in time, we can’t provide a concrete plan on when concrete services are available for consumption from within Kyma Runtime. In many cases, workarounds already exist though.

Could you share here (or 1:1 if you prefer) which services you are looking for – besides the ones mentioned – and a few details on the scenario?

      • Cloud Connector is obvious and has our full attention.
      • Deploying and running CAP applications was described here.
      • In the comments of the blog on CAP, a discussion for the AppRouter was started, too.

      Best regards,
      Marco.
