What has been your experience with SAP so far?

TCS, a global strategic SAP partner, has strong credentials and recognized expertise in delivering end-to-end services from SAP including a large number of engagements with SAP application management services, both for SAP Business Suite software and SAP S/4HANA. As a leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for SAP services (SAP application management services and implementation), TCS is among the leading global partners in terms of scale and ability to deliver large SAP S/4HANA engagements. We are convinced that becoming an SAP-certified service provider will foster TCS’s position as a partner of choice and drive more SAP services opportunities for TCS, and at the same time, help customers leverage the full potential of SAP solutions and services.

Why did you apply for the certification program to become an SAP outsourcing operations partner?

A growing number of clients are requesting these certifications as part of their partner selection process. Certification as an SAP outsourcing operations partner will help us ensure compliance with these new customer requirements.

How has your journey been through the process of receiving your outsourcing operations certification? Describe the evolution of your certifications, how many years you’ve been certified, and so on.

TCS is a global strategic SAP partner, and the certifications for becoming an SAP outsourcing operations partner were introduced to TCS as part of partner collaboration. TCS started the engagement in 2017, and in November 2017, the TCS team completed the three platform certifications for Hosting operations, SAP HANA operations, and Cloud operations. Later, in 2018, we added the application operations certification covering SAP ERP, part of SAP Business Suite, as well as areas covering SAP S/4HANA – all of which we completed in the same year. In 2020, TCS successfully renewed all the 5 outsourcing operations certifications obtained in 2017 and 2018 and also got certified in SAP SuccessFactors solutions operations and DevOps certifications. TCS is among the global leading service providers who have seven active certifications as part of the SAP Outsourcing Partner Certification Program.

How has the certification helped you with service improvement?

TCS has a very well-defined process for SAP service delivery. Certifications helped us as an assurance that the process we follow is either on par or better than the expectations that SAP has for a certified partner. While TCS has not changed or amended the service process as a result of certification audits, the certifications have helped us benchmark our capabilities in specific niche areas and focus on certain areas needing additional attention.

How has the certification helped you enhance your managed services offerings and go-to-market activities?

Many customers are nowadays looking for companies that are SAP-certified in enterprise Cloud and Infrastructure operations, Hosting operations, SAP HANA operations, SAP Business Suite solutions operations, SAP S/4HANA solutions operations, and SAP SuccessFactors solutions operations. Certifications are of the important qualification criteria for choosing an implementation and support partner during the partner selection process.

As the demand for DevOps adoption intensifies with SAP customers, the certification in DevOps is proving to be a key differentiator.

We’ve been able to meet qualifying criteria for large bids for SAP application management services, infrastructure, and the SAP Cloud portfolio. We also receive greater access to large bids for SAP application management services and new product launch sessions by SAP.

Certification reinforces our brand image and improves customer confidence in our methodology and best practices for SAP application management services, the SAP HANA platform, and SAP Cloud.

Certification helps assure our global capabilities and quality of service on the delivery of SAP Application management services, Hosting operations, enterprise Cloud and Infrastructure operations, and SAP HANA operations.

Certified the processes, practices, and support comes important benefits on the operational and market levels.
