Remember when we were able to meet for a conference in the same – physical! – location and carry on discussions over a cup of coffee during the breaks?

This is what conferences are really about: both getting informed during the tracks and exchanging points of views in between. To plagiarise Socrates: knowledge grows when shared.

For obvious reasons, we’re not going to have the same type of events in the near future that we were able to have just a few months ago. But virtual conferences don’t have to be static and passive.

Now that we’re all much more comfortable with virtual attendance – thanks to hours of practice on Zoom, Teams, Skype, BlueJeans and many other platforms, why not try something a bit new?

This is what we are proposing with the SAP Finance and Risk Live 2020 – and especially the 2 GRC tracks: CCR Live 2020 and AIS Live 2020.

What are CCR Live 2020 and AIS Live 2020 might you ask?

CCR Live 2020 - Connected Controls and Risks is the online version of the SAP Internal Controls, Compliance and Risk Management conference – whose acronym is “CCR”. You may recall that we already had 3 instances of the CCR conference and that it usually runs in March. We even had it earlier this year in March in Copenhagen. Cf. GRC Tuesdays: The SAP Conference on Internal Controls, Compliance and Risk Management is coming to C... to refresh your memory. As it was once again very successful, we decided to roll-out another instance. Virtual this time.

Concerning AIS Live 2020 - Building Digital Trust, it’s the online version of SAP Application and Information Security conference – whose acronym I am sure you will have guessed is “AIS”. We were planning on having the first ever instance of this event in-person in October 2020 but, due to current circumstances, had to shift it to a virtual event.

What can you expect?

As for the previous CCR conferences and for what was planned for AIS this year, we’re going to have a mix of customer case studies, 1:1 chat options with all attendees, and partner innovation sessions. Also, we’ll be proposing some on-demand content available for consumption when it suits you.

To try and get as close as possible to the experience of in-person events, we’ll also be trialling an open mic format. This will be an interactive group coffee discussion with visual and audio capabilities for attendees. Just bring your beverage of choice and your questions and we’ll be there!

A few words on SAP Internal Controls, Compliance and Risk Management Live 2020

Hosted online on the 26th and 27th of October 2020, SAP Internal Controls, Compliance and Risk Management Live 2020 will bring you two days of live and on-demand presentations from SAP solution experts, users and partners.

Designed for new and existing customers, this event will focus on how to implement robust approaches for internal control, compliance and risk management that can help you thrive in changing markets, ready to respond to challenges, threats, opportunities and regulatory shifts the moment they arise.

To address this, we’ll be hearing from SAP customers, including BT, Delivery Hero, Flint Group, LafargeHolcim, and Oyak. Live customer sessions will be complemented by further expert insight from SAP but also from our partners IBM, Turnkey Consulting and Riscomp.

So don’t miss this unique opportunity to discover how you can leverage the power of connected Governance, Risk, and Compliance solutions from SAP across your organisation.

And some words on SAP Application and Information Security Live 2020

Starting straight after CCR Live 2020 and hosted on the 28th and 29th of October, AIS Live 2020 is designed specifically for the SAP Security community.

With large percentages of workforces now working from home for the first time, there is an increased focus on ensuring the relevant systems can still be accessed, that identities are appropriately managed, privacy rights maintained and security upheld.

And this is precisely what this conference will be about, with case studies from SAP customer including Bayer, Boehringer Ingelheim, Roche, Sanofi and Swiss Post. In addition, there will also be sessions from our expert partners IBM, Turnkey Consulting, IBS Schreiber and Xiting.

Attend to hear how global organisations are building digital trust with innovations from SAP.
