How SAP Cloud Connector works

Github repository:

Not applicable

  • In this session, we will look at how the SAP Cloud Connector works

  • The SAP Cloud Connector provides a secure tunnel between SAP Cloud Platform applications and on-premise systems
  • It runs as a reverse invoke proxy between the on-premise network and the SAP Cloud Platform
  • Contains additional features that are required for business critical scenarios

  • In this video, we will look at what reverse invoke proxy actually means
  • We will also explore how administrators can safely expose on-premise resources to the internet without opening any additional firewall ports

  • This video should give you a clear idea on how SAP Cloud Connector works
  • Also, how administrators can safely expose on-premise resources without opening any firewalls
  • This video doesn’t delve into setting up the SAP Cloud Connector – although there are plenty of other online resources for that
  • If you have any questions or comments, please list them below and I will be happy to answer

      Hi Milton,

      Thanks for the information.

      I have below queries,

In your explanation, how would a server initiate request to client even if the connection is open? Can you pls share any example.

Can we use SAP Cloud connector to connect with third party cloud as well like Azure, Google etc?
