Databases and Operating Systems of SAP NetWeaver in the Support Assistant are live now.

Have you tried Support Assistant?

The Support Assistant is an optimized incident creation tool which accelerates the process of incident creation by asking product specific questions to narrow down to the problem area, meanwhile recommending targeted solutions in real time.

The product area Databases and Operating Systems of SAP NetWeaver is now available in the Support Assistant, which can be accessed by the following steps:

  1. Login to the Create an Incident application here
  2. Choose the System that is related to the issue
  3. Choose the Product / Topic area: SAP NetWeaver > Databases and Operating Systems
  4. The ‘Support Assistant’ dialog will show

This product area uses a tree structure to categorize the following 6 databases and 2 flavors of operating systems:

  • SAP MaxDB and liveCache
  • Oracle Database
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • IBM Db2 for Linux, Unix and Windows
  • IBM Db2 for z/OS
  • Adaptive Server Enterprise
  • Linux Operating system
  • Microsoft Windows Operating System

Options in the initial screen

 

The first 6 options are database categories. Each of these database areas generally includes the topics of system maintenance, database feature, database administration and performance.

The last 2 options are for Linux and Windows operating systems. They categorize public clouds, virtualization, and some other topics.

The left-hand pane will display the most common topic-specific questions and the right-hand pane will display the recommended documents which could help you to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

 

After the questions have been answered, all the responses will be moved to Support Assistant History automatically and saved as a part of an incident. The most matching component will be selected automatically.
