How to find an Idoc that has posted a SAP Document or made a Change to a SAP Document?

Introduction

It is always beneficial to find the Idocs associated with a SAP Document that got posted or updated.

 

Solution

Login to SAP and go to the Respective Transaction Code you wish to see Idoc Reference.

Here in this case I am going to Tcode FB03.

Now follow the below steps

Here we got the Relationship

 

 

Now lets us try to check a Material Master Update

Go to MM03 Tcode

Follow the below step

Below is the Result. If the Relationships is disabled that means no IDOC is associated with this document

 

Now we try to find the Material Number in WE09 Tcode as shown below

 

Wow we got it here.

 

 

 

Conclusion

This can be used in both SAP ECC and SAP S/4 HANA

      I think you might have some Authorization issue

      or else you can go from this menu

      In T-Code SU3, add paramter

      SD_SWU_ACTIVE with a value of X.

      At least this activates the Generic Object for Services toolbar for all the Sales Documents.
