SFIDP Snapshot: SAP SuccessFactors tools and processes to move or copy instances
Introduction
SAP SuccessFactors customers usually have three sets of instances – development, test, and production. The consultant is required to align these instances to ensure common behavior. There are three options to copy or move the configuration.
- Instance sync tool
- Instance refresh
- Manual import and export
Each of them has advantages and disadvantages. This article will provide a snapshot of the options. A detailed SAP SuccessFactors document can be found here

An instance Sync is a tool that can be accessed from Admin Center. It allows to move configurations, specific data, and settings to target instance. |
