If you’re selling on Ariba Network, be sure to review your company profile regularly, so it contains the best categories, products, and keywords to describe your offerings. Keeping your company profile up to date will help your business show up in buyers’ searches, and bring back more relevant leads on SAP Ariba Discovery.
Sign in to SAP Ariba Discovery using your Ariba Network credentials (click the returning user login). Or if you are new to Ariba Network, complete the registration prompts.
Update your product categories.
Click Company Settings (the gear icon) then select Company Profile from the menu.
Then, scroll down to Product and Service Categories and click Browse.
SAP Ariba uses the United Nations Standard Products and Services Codes (UNSPSC) standard to define product categories on Ariba Network. This classification system includes four levels of categories, from broad to specific.
The highest-level category is called Segment. If you supply all of the products or services in a segment, just select that segment and customers will be able to find you when they search for any of the sub-categories under that segment.
If you can’t find a code for a specific product or service, select the closest match from a broader category. Watch our Launchpad video for a helpful example.
Add company keywords.
Buyers generally search for products using keywords, so show up in more searches and improve your SAP Ariba Discovery leads by adding relevant product or service keywords. For the best results, choose keywords that are general rather than specific, and use layman’s terms instead of industry jargon.
