Hi Raz,
very nice and useful overview, thanks a lot.
Did I get it right, that deployment from Fiori Apps in target ABAP system is always possible, as far as the system includes the SAP_UI 753 SP00 or higher software component as described in SAP Note 2217489
(source link SAP Help).
So it doesn't matter, if this target ABAP on-premise system is a Non-S/4 System (e.g. ECC 6.0 system with DB2 database)? I'm asking due to the fact that our customer uses currently Web IDE for exact this environment and we want to get save, that this would also work with SAP BAS using as IDE...
Many thanks and kind regards,
Jens
Hi Jens,
exactly with SAP_UI 753 SP00 this should be possible in general. It does neither depend on the other parts of the Fiori stack nor on the used database.
However please check out the following notes, which might have to be applied especially on SP00:
2615176 SAP Web IDE Custom Adaptation Project: REST Service to Deploy Adapted SAP Fiori Apps on SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP
2789741 Fixing adaptation project deployment to SAP NW Application Server ABAP
Best regards
Matthias
Hi Matthias,
many thanks for the fast reply. That's exactly what I wanted to read. 😉
The customer's system status is SAP_UI 753 SP06, so I think the both mentioned SAP notes are not relevant.
Thanks again and best regards
Jens
