- Explaining and presenting the basics of the must important SAP Reporting/Analytics Apps for Inventory Management
- Make you familiar with the must important Apps that will help you to complete the business processes
Main Part
I will bring to light the most important SAP Fiori Apps that can be used for Analysis / Reports in the area of Inventory Management, I will explain in detail about their uses and scope.
So, I recommend:
The first app mentioned in this list is Goods Movement Analysis. This app has a complex interpretation of the movements of goods within a company, in addition to the filters that can be applied to generate a report according to the needs of the organization, this app provides an analysis to interpret the data in the form of a chart.
- Goods Movement Analysis, App ID W0055
Application Type | Analytical, BW Query used (SAP Fiori: Design Studio) |
Form Factor |
With this app you can analyze the goods movements in your company.
You can define default filters for the following fields: Plant, Material, Material Group, Material Type.
In addition, the app supports the following technical features and options:
- Sort
- Totals and subtotals
- Export to Excel
The second app that I will mention in this list is Inventory Turnover Analysis, as inventory turnover typically reflects the overall efficiency of the supply chain. Low inventory turnover reflects excess inventory or an overstock situation, in comparison, high inventory turnover is usually seen as a positive sign, since this number indicates the company is rapidly consuming or selling goods.
2. Inventory Turnover Analysis, App ID F1956
Application Type | Analytical (SAP Fiori (SAPUI5)) |
Form Factor | Desktop, Tablet |
The next Fiori App I will talk about is Dead Stock Analysis. If you want to find out more about the stock that hasn’t been consumed during a given time period, this app will help you to build an analysis to determine what constitututes or defines dead stock of materials.
3. Dead Stock Analysis, App ID F2899
Application Type | Analytical (SAP Fiori elements) |
Form Factor | Desktop, Tablet |
The Dead Stock Analysis app supports you in your daily work, for example, as an inventory manager, to achieve maximum inventory accuracy and subsequently to optimize the inventory situation in your stock.
- Monitor the dead stock with a focus on, for example, plants for which you are responsible.
- Select a display currency and track dead stock for several plants in different countries.
- Monitor how much capital is tied up by dead stock.
- Monitor important key performance indicators (KPIs) and key figures, such as the number of occurrences of dead stock (displayed as a value).
- Define follow-up actions such as scrapping or stock transfers, or inform colleagues about the stock situation.
- Save variants of the app with regard to the dead stock for which you are responsible.
The next two apps that I am going to talk about are Stock – Single Material and Stock – Multiple Material, these Fiori apps will help you to analize the stock within the company by getting an overview of the cmpany material stock.
4. Stock – Single Material, App ID F1076
Application Type | Analytical (SAP Fiori (SAPUI5)) |
Form Factor |
You can review your stock by the plants and storage locations for which you are responsible. The app can display the stock information as a table or a diagram.
- Display a stock overview of a single material.
- Compare the stock information with the safety stock and minimum safety stock values defined for the material.
- Display the stock history for each plant or storage location for the last 11 calendar months.
- Presentation of a first-level drill down to stock history (day-end closing) as a time series.
- Presentation of a second-level drill down to material document item postings for each day showing the key figures of each posting.
- Personalization of stock types and display of the safety stock.
5. Stock – Multiple Materials, App ID F1595
Application Type | Analytical (SAP Fiori elements) |
Form Factor | Desktop, Phone, Tablet |
- Display a stock overview of one or multiple materials.
- Display the value of your stock.
- Display additional storage location information, for example, storage bin.
The app calculates the stock values based on the stock quantity of the selected reporting date multiplied by the current material price. This means that the app always calculates using the current material price, irrespective of the reporting date you have selected. This calculation method for the stock value is common to all Fiori apps in Inventory Management.
The app Slow or Non-Moving Materials offers the possibility to have an overview of all those materials that has moved very little during a time period.
6. Slow or Non-Moving Materials, App ID F2137
Application Type | Analytical (SAP Fiori elements) |
Form Factor | Desktop, Tablet |
Further, the app that I am going to talk about is Material Documents Overview, which has a similar look and feel of SAP GUI Transaction MB51.
7. Material Documents Overview, App ID F1077
Application Type | Analytical (SAP Fiori elements) |
Form Factor | Desktop, Phone, Tablet |
Display a list of material document items. You can search for accounting information (G/L account or cost center) in material documents with multiple account assignments of the valuated goods receipt.
For non-valuated goods receipts the account assignment is not stored on material document item level. Therefore, neither the material document nor the material documents overview displays the account assignments for non-valuated postings.
Display the process flow for a material document with the relevant preceding document and follow-on document.
Add attachments to the material document.
Determine forms of output for a material document, such as print output or electronic data interchange (EDI).
Let’s see below more details:
8. Overdue Materials – Goods Receipt Blocked Stock, App ID F2347
Application Type | Analytical (SAP Fiori elements) |
Form Factor | Desktop, Phone, Tablet |
For each purchase order or material from the results list you can immediately perform further tasks with linked apps, for example:
- Post Goods Receipt for Purchase Order
- Stock – Multiple Materials
- Stock – Single Material
9. Overdue Materials – Stock in Transit, App ID F2139

HI Elena
Thanks for sharing your summary.
By the way there’s an easier quick link to the SAP Fiori apps reference library – just use https://sap.com/fiori-apps-library
My thought is it would be useful to include a hyperlink to the relevant apps themselves, and also their SAP Fiori app id so there is no confusion with similarly named apps.
E.g. Overdue Materials - Stock-in-Transit has app id F2139
You can use the app id to quickly find the app in the library, and you could also include a direct link to the app's details.

For F1076 Stock Single Material, it's a shame that SAP omitted the category of On-Order stock. It's a very useful function in MMBE to see open purchase orders for the material.
Hi Elena
Can you help me some T-code about Inventory Analysis ? I want to analysis about ABC class for warehouse, but MC40 only for Plant?
