Include Attachments in Output for Outbound Deliveries

In this blog, I will explain how to attachments in outbound delivery can be used in Emails or Printing.

If you have important attachments in your outbound delivery – either on header or on item level –  you can now send the attachments together with the Advanced Shipping Notification per Email or print it together with the Delivery Note. You can achieve it with manually setting the flag ‘Include in output’ on any of the attachment items.

Outbound Delivery Item: Include attachments in output

When releasing the Outbound Delivery, the Delivery Note is printed and – if set up – the advanced shipping notification is sent. Together with those output objects, also the attachments are printed or sent.

Outbound Delivery Output History – Attachments included

In this Example, I had an attachment only at the outbound delivery item level assigned. You can also add an attachment on header level. Together with the ‘include in output’ flag, it would be visible here.

Furthermore, on product level, you can now maintain an attachment with type ‚Relevant for Outbound Delivery‘. This will automatically transfer the attachment to the outbound delivery item. This will not be transferred to follow up documents such as the customer invoice. You can use it for example to attach product safety information such as Safety Data Sheet (SDS).

Be aware that the attachments are not automatically set to be included in output in the outbound delivery.
