First, special thanks to SAP’s Carine Tchoutouo Djomo for setting this webcast up for ASUG.  I am so grateful we met in person at last year’s SAP TechEd Las Vegas.

This was an ASUG webcast this week covering both SAP Gui Windows 7.70 and Business Client 7.7

In the beta phase now for 7.70

Release to customer (“RTC”) is now postponed and will be end of year

It (the 7.7 release) will be a “Christmas present”

Support line for 7.50 – ran out of support a few months ago

Timelines are important to keep track of support

Business Client 6.5 is running out of maintenance

Q&A

Q:  How can customers access beta version?

A:  Beta is closed; had so many participants

Not an open beta

Beta has been running for a while

Next beta will be 2023; “ask early”

Q: BC 7.7 or Gui 7.7 work with NW 7.5 or just S/4HANA?

A: Completely downward compatible, no additional license costs, works with all the systems

Thanks to Sandra Thimme and Ralph Resach for an informative webcast.  Are you looking forward to the “Christmas” present?

      Very interesting!

I am a big fan of the SAP Business Client. When is the new release coming now? Unfortunately I was too late to register for the BETA version.
