Hi all,
I hope this blog post will be helpful for you to kick start with
Fiori Launchpad Configuration in
SAP Cloud Platform.
In this blog we will cover the below topics,
- SAPUI5 app deployment to SAP Cloud Platform.
- Portal Enabling in SAP Cloud Platform.
- Fiori Launchpad Site Creation in SAP Cloud Platform.
- Catalog, Groups and Roles Ceation in SAP Cloud Platform.
- Assigning Roles to Catalog and Groups and to SAPUI5 apps.
- Assigning Roles to the users in SAP Cloud Platform.
Lets get in to the detail procedure step by step.
Login to SAP Cloud Platform Cockpit
https://account.hana.ondemand.com/#/home/welcome
Step 1 : SAPUI5 app deployment to SAP Cloud Platform
Login to SAP WEB IDE and create an SAPUI5 application.
Select the UI5 app --->
Right Click --->
Deploy ---> Select
Deploy to SAP Cloud Platform ---> Pop-Up opens ---> Fill the mandatory details and Click on
Deploy.
Step 2 : Portal Enabling SAP Cloud Platform
Go to
Services and click on
Portal
To enable the
Portal click on the above tile
Click on
Enable button to enable the
Portal services.
Once the
Portal is enabled, just refresh the browser to reflect the changes.
Step 3 : Fiori Launchpad Site Creation in SAP Cloud Platform Portal
Once the
Portal services are enabled, select
Go to Service link to create a Launchpad site.
Once
Go to Service is clicked, it will take you to the
Admin Space, refer below snapshot to create a new site
Once the add button is clicked, a Pop-Up will open to create a site.
Fill the
Site Name, select highlighted
SAP Fiori Launchpad tile and click on
Create button.
Once the site is created successfully, below screen will appear.
Step 4 : Catalog, Groups and Roles Creation
Catalog creation
Refer below snapshot and create a
Catalog.
Group Creation
Refer below snapshot and create a
Group.
Role Creation
Refer below snapshot and create a
Role.
Step 5 : Assigning Role to Catalog and Groups and to SAPUI5 apps.
Assigning
Role to
Catalog.
Select the
Catalog and click on
Edit button and add the
Role as shown in below snapshot.
Select the required
Role and Save it.
Assigning
Role to
Group.
Select the
Group and click on
Edit button and add the
Role as shown in below snapshot.
Select the required
Role and Save it.
Assigning
Catalog and
Group to the app.
Go back to SAP Web IDE, Select the Deployed application and Right Click and Select Deploy and again Select Register to SAP Cloud Platform, below screen will appear.
Select the
semantic object and click on
Next button, once
Next is clicked below screen will appear.
Specify all the tile attributes and click on Next button, once
Next is clicked below screen will appear.
Select the appropriate
Site,
Catalog and
Group and click on
Finish button to complete your registration, once
Finish button is clicked below screen will appear.
Click on
Open SAP Fiori Launchpad to open your Fiori Launchpad as in below snapshot.
Step 6 : Assigning the Roles to users in SAP Cloud Platform.
To assign the specific Roles to the specific Users in a sub-account in SAP Cloud Platform.
Select
Configure Portal in the Portal, it opens a new tab as shown in below snapshot.
Click on
New Role button and create the same role which is created in the
Fiori Site. Once the role is created select the role and click on
Assign button.
Provide the
User Id and Click on
Assign, the role will be assigned to the appropriate User Id.
