Creating Portal Site and SAP Fiori Launchpad Configuration in SAP Cloud Foundry

Hello Everyone

This Blogs will helps you to create Portal Site, Catalog, Group, App and Roles in SAP Fiori Launchpad.

Before starting you can refer to my previous blog Portal Subscription in SAP Cloud Foundry

Let us create new Site by clicking on “+ Create Site”. Enter site name and click on Create.

Once Site created, we can see it under Site Directory as in below screen.

Open Portal Site Manger –> Go to Content Manager

Here in SAP Cloud Foundry we will be having Roles, Apps, Groups, and Catalogs under Content Manger. Let us create New App by clicking on “+ New” and choose App.

Let us provide App Properties like App name, App Description, URL. We have two options to selecting on how to launch (open) app either In place or In a new tab. Here I am providing SAP UI5 App URL, which was deployed in SAP Cloud Platform Neo Environment. Click on Navigation.

Under Navigation Tab, we have to provide Semantic Object, Action details and Parameters details (optional). Click on Visualization to create tile

Provide tile details and Click Save

Let us create Catalog through Content Manager as shown below

Provide catalog details and click on “+” under assignments, then it will display list of apps. Add required apps under Catalog and click on Save

Let us create Group through Content Manager as shown below

Provide group details and click on “+” under assignments, then it will display list of apps. Add required apps under group and click on Save

Now we need to require roles for app. Click on role Everyone in Content Manger and you will be landing on below screen and click on “+” under assignments, then it will display list of apps. Add required apps for the role and click on Save

Now go back to Site Directory and click on Edit Site.

You can see site details and click URL to open SAP Fiori Launchpad.

      Hi @Akshaya,
Please verify you have sufficient access to perform those actions. Its better you assign Admin access.

      Hi Akshaya,

From the SAP BTP cockpit you should able to add the required roles.

Under the subaccount--> security--> Users --> choose your ID. Make sure under role collections, you have below mention roles assigned.

If you still face the issue, please share the screenshot.
