Weekly Mission & Badge Roundup: June 29 – July 5, 2020
As I shared in the first installment of this blog post series, I publish a weekly shout-out to Community members who have earned a mission the week prior. The list covers all missions earned Monday through Sunday (midnight to midnight, UTC).
Before I launch into the highlights of last week’s achievements, I wanted to share that I am handing over the reins to the weekly roundup post to my new colleague, Lena Stodal. Lena recently joined our Community & Influencers team and will be working (among other things) on reputation and gamification topics, so you will see more of her in the community, starting with next week’s Weekly Mission & Badge Roundup post. Please help me welcome Lena by following her so you can continue to see when weekly roundup posts are published.
OK, now to the highlights. I start with one that is definitely noteworthy: Lingaiah Vanam has joined the ranks of members who have earned the Virtuoso badge. To earn that badge, you must be good at both answering questions and writing blog posts; so good, in fact, that you earn both Master Solver and Master Blogger, which he did. Congratulations, Lingaiah!
Another achievement I’d like to recognize is that of Sumit Jaiswal and Lars Breddemann, who both earned the Hitchhiker badge last week for reaching 42 answers accepted. Here is an example of the kind of answer that Lars provides on a question about SAP HANA. It’s clear to see how Lars has earned this and other solver-related badges in the community. I suggest following both him and Sumit to see more.
