SAP Data Warehouse Cloud – Simple End to End Scenario

I am sure that by now you have heard about SAP Data Warehouse Cloud and perhaps you even got your own Trial system to experience the system live.

In case you are interested to learn more about the different option and to go through a complete end-to-end scenario by starting to setup the tables, setup the model, defining hierarchies, up to creating the analytic story to answer your questions you had when loading the data, then you came to the right place.

Here are the different sessions for the end-to-end scenario:

Step 1: Model Overview and Data Modelling Asset Types

Step 2: Creating Tables and Uploading Data

Step 3: Creating a Entity Relationship Model

Step 4: Creating a View based on the tables

Step 5: Configuring Label Columns

Step 6: Adding Calculations

Step 7: Using the Business Catalog

Step 8: Using SAP Analytics Cloud with SAP Data Warehouse Cloud

I hope you enjoy the material and looking forward to your feedback.

      Hi Ingo,

I encountered the following error when deploying Entity Relationship model for step 3 exercise:

The deployment of Sales_Model_ER was unsuccessful.
Table Sales_Order_Headers inconsistent: Column “Sales_Order_Number” in deployed model but not on DB: Table Sales_Order_Headers inconsistent: Column “Sales_Order_Number” in deployed model but not on DB.

I have no errors when saving and deploying the tables in step 2 exercise. This was the Entity Relationship model that was created. I used my company’s demo system to perform the exercises.

      Hello Albert,

make sure that all the tables are saved and deployed and that all the columns are in the table.

      Regards

      Ingo

      Hi Ingo,

I’m getting the same error like Albert when deploying my ER Model. I followed the exact steps in the tutorial yet still getting the error. All the tables used in ER Model are saved and deployed properly.

Appreciate if you can advice on this.
