Just picture high-volume monitoring and alerting, such as to the scale of a city’s traffic grid. To keep things running smoothly, it comes down to how effectively users can process the information at hand. More-effective processing means more than an intake of an even higher volume of data. It means improved analysis of the information to take the right action. That’s why the feature pack (FP) 3 for SAP Focused Run features new ways to view and categorize data.

FP 3 Focuses on New Perspectives

You or I might expect any feature pack for any Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) product to feature something new, anything new. Maybe an app has a new design. Maybe a new menu icon provides a shortcut. For SAP Focused Run 2.0 FP 3, expect focused innovations for the purpose of improving your opportunities to process data in a new way.

Navigate to our SAP Focused Run landing page for a closer look. Want a quick glance at what's new? Read on to see 8 highlights:

1)

For the IT Calendar, you can now display the hosts view. By doing so you can see planned events or schedule planned downtimes for the hosts of a managed system. In addition, you can open your IT Calendar for external read-only mode display, whether or not your calendar viewers are SAP Focused Run customers.

2)

See SAP EarlyWatch Alert differently when you take advantage of the improved filtering with SP 3. There are new sorting possibilities for the list of systems, and an improved way to activate/de-activate systems.

3)

In Open Component Monitoring, now you can see Availability Metrics with a green or red status. You can assign an Availability Metric to a technical system, and you will get a confirmation notice when an Availability Metric is changed or deleted.

4)

Real User Monitoring will open your eyes to different available chart options. Now you can focus your data from the Generic View with metric selection and dimension selection.

5)

For Exception Management, you can set ABAP system alert filters to group alerts together. Since a set of predefined alert parameters trigger the alerts, it’s easier to monitor specific conditions. Visualize all alert instance groups in the Alert Inbox.

6)

OCC Dashboards now integrate Alerts Ticker information and information from these new data providers: Job Monitoring, System Availability Monitoring, Configuration & Security, Open KPIs. When it comes to displaying information, check out the single-scale Time-Series Chart for distribution resolution support, and the new renderers in the forms of an analytics map and a tree map. The OCC Dashboards are now available via direct URL access.

7)

Tactical Dashboards are also now available via direct URL access. Generate a URL to your configured page and share the URL as needed. What’s more, Tactical Dashboards now offer a new Maintenance tile in the Systems view. This means you can get the status of Maintenance items, including installed SAP products, databases, support packages, and operating systems. The Maintenance tile offers the option to personalize settings and customize your display for your needs.

😎

And yes, the app System Monitoring – Individual Maintenance and Assignment has a new design. It offers the option to define the default template assignment on product group level. In addition, rule-based template assignment allows you to assign templates dynamically depending on LMDB properties.
