I almost see being inclusive as a way of life, and so for our wonderful employees who couldn’t join our first LGBTQIA+ Inclusion session, Pride@SAP - India scheduled another session at a later time of the working day for night owls like me.

Throughout the Pride Month. 2020 celebrations, employees at SAP have enthusiastically participated in the events and campaigns organized. The inclusion session on June 25th, 2020 was no different. Utkarsh Jain Sankhla and I got a chance to engage in a riveting conversation with 18 other people. We discussed the basis for each of the alphabets in LGBTQIA+ using the gender-bread person and the saw why it is essential to discuss this at the workplace.

A session of this kind is successful because of the participants, and we truly had a fabulous crowd that ensured that the session was more conversational. In fact, the conversation was so engrossing that we forgot to take our ceremonial end “HomFies”.

Thus, I’m including the call to action results from our session today.

Finally, I truly would like to applaud SAP for encouraging its employees to make the workplace more diverse and inclusive. I truly understand why it is ranked as one of the top places to work at globally.

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH TO EVERYBODY!
