Flow Builder is the key program for Cash Management to generate flows from accounting documents. And SAP delivers the standard variant 'SAP&BG4' of that program to process document chain. Within that variant, 'Maximum Steps of Chain Tracing' (in short: chain step) is set as 4.
Chain step used in document chain trace. For example, if you choose one step of chain tracing, you find the document flow with one preceding document and one subsequent document.
However, the real business may need a chain step other than 4. And since OP1909, technical job repository make it possible to change the variant.
To change the chain step of Flow Builder, you need open the technical job repository via t-code: SJOBREPO, and then click 'Change Variant' button.
