Your personal companion

In today’ 24/7 business environment, time is an organization’s most precious resource. Even more, in times like these, where direct human contact is limited to stop spreading diseases, you need a digital companion to easily interact with you and provide immediate guidance to best solutions.

SAP for Me is the new customer portal of SAP to simplify, improve, and safeguard the interaction process between our customers and SAP through a single place.

When it comes to specific finance and legal content, we want to make the interaction more flexible, focused, scalable, and context driven through more digital self-services and automated billing and license scenarios.

Vision

Connecting the dots for finance-related roles

Just to get a true picture of business-wide financial information can involve time consuming tasks of manually entering data or physically merging reports.

Not only is this inefficient but it’s error-prone, too, because the resulting information is inaccurate and often out of date. Long processes that require the input of multiple departments or spreadsheets can increase this inaccuracy, making the results and insights unreliable and delayed.

With disparate systems, providing information in different formats and often without context, critical business decisions become difficult if not impossible to make. The result of this is a business that is far less agile and much less responsive than it could or should be.

SAP for Me connects the dots for finance related roles by taking the advantage of semantic networks. The customer portal aggregates information from various sources about e.g. orders, licenses, and invoices in one place and presents them in an intuitive product-centric way. With this, we make disparate information a thing of the past.

Now, things that belong together relate to each other. You can enter this semantic network anywhere and move along based on your needs and interest. Most of the entities will have the defining four capabilities to personalize the view, receive notifications / alerts, inspect more details and trigger self-services.

Scope

We just started with the finance and legal topic. The launch of SAP for Me marks the beginning of a journey. In phase 1 we made all orders available, phase 2 has already license consumption data included, in phase 3 we will cover more legal and billing topics, phase 4 will include license renewal and (compliance) upsell scenarios and with phase 5, termination services will be introduced. We have lots of ambiguous plans and innovative ideas but we of course belief that the already available features will let you enjoy SAP for Me straight away.

More than just a finance view

Imagine Ben Jacobs (Persona), a purchase manager of a midsized company. The transparency and the insights we provide through SAP for Me with regards to orders, invoices and licenses will help him to work with reliable and in time data. And it connects the financial data e.g. with the systems data, where the data center availability information may have an impact on service level agreements. Information which Ben would have not thought about before.

With this, he will get a true picture of the business-wide financial engagements with SAP, helping him to prepare accurate and timely reports on specific billing content, payment status and consumption details. Now, SAP customers will conveniently manage repeat activities and speed up the interaction and outcome with digital self-services and more agile and responsive business decisions.
