Blog it Forward – Mahesh Kumar Palavalli

Hello Community,

Hope everyone is doing well!!ย  It has been so much fun reading all those amazing BIF posts and occasionally commenting something funny there :). and now I am here with mine, Thanks to the awesome people who tagged me in their BIF ( Nabheet Madan Sudip Ghosh Tammy Powlas & Dries Van Vaerenbergh ) . I know I am posting this very late but it’s better late than never ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks to Susan Keohan for starting this series.

I am

Mahesh, born in Nellore, India. It’s a small city but a peaceful one, full of beaches & greenery. Pic below:

You see the ship at the bottom right in the above pic, that’s actually at a port(Krishnapatnam Port) and the place of my first and shortest job. I only worked for 3 days after which, I’ve resigned :D.(I just didn’t like the environment and work culture)

Later did ABAP course as one of my friend suggested and now here I am with 7 years of IT experience and I am loving it so far :), I’ve already told about my career in my Member of the month post.

In short:ย  My first job was at Yash Technologies in Hyderabad and from there I worked with SAP LABS (cont.) in Gurgaon. Later moved to Chennai and worked with GSS, then moved to Dubai and worked for AlWasl properties. Now I am here in Ras Al Khaima, UAE working for RAK EGA.

I just started being active in the community( from 2 years back) and I’ve enjoyed this place so far, especially the coffee corner, I am not super active there but atleast I follow the content there regularly and especially the Weekend clubย  , where we talk about a movie or a book or something else. I am not a great reader, so I participate in Movie clubs ๐Ÿ™‚ย  and I am just waiting for someone who want’s to talk about Anime to start weekend anime club ๐Ÿ˜‰

and not only the online community, some of us folks here in UAE started offline Community meetups in SAP Stammtisch plus style, we call it as SAP Yalsah in local slang. We are having it every month and I enjoyed them so far. but now because of this COVID, we are having the same online.

(I am 3rd person from left)

did i mention anime back there :D, yeah I love watching anime series, they are the best!! I just love those creative series/movies they make in Japan. So anyone who is also a fan of Anime, let’s connect ๐Ÿ™‚

and that’s it, nothing much about me, I am pretty normal guy ๐Ÿ˜€ .ย  So I will answer some of the questions:

What do you do apart from SAP in your free time?

I watch a lot of Anime, sometimes Gaming(PS4 and mobile), occasional gym and SAP Community! ๐Ÿ˜€

What would you choose if given a choice between coffee or tea and why?

With milk it’s coffee (Turkish coffee is an exception for it though) and without milk, it’s Tea. and when I am alone, I prefer Tea ๐Ÿ™ don’t know why, maybe it’s easy to make ๐Ÿ˜€

What is your favourite holiday destination and why?

First one that comes to my mind is Japan, maybe my love for anime is having a huge influence there ๐Ÿ˜€ and few more reasons i think of is the greenery, forests, mountains and their culture. But I’ve not visited Japan yet, maybe in future ๐Ÿ™‚ย  .

Are you an introvert or an extrovert?ย  Please explain how you know.

I guess am an introvert and BTW, I hate being an introvert :D, I try to socialise more but I guess it’s really difficult to change. I just love being in less crowded people and if there are more number of people I feel super awkward. But like I said I am trying to socialise more by getting involved in community activities(but not as much as an extrovert though ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

Android or Apple?

Android. It’s very flexible. I also like apple because the OS and animations are super smooth. But I’ve an android phone with cool 90 hz refresh rate display ๐Ÿ˜‰ .

What is your most favourite SAP Cloud Platform Service?

I started my journey as an ABAP developer and so it’s without a doubt ABAP Trail service ๐Ÿ™‚

What role SAP Community Play in your life? Explain it

It’s kind of now part of life as a hobby, I daily open it to check questions, answers, blogs or to answer & comment, atleast for 10 min. and because of SAP Community I’ve met so many awesome people. It’s like a social networking site but you get to learn and share knowledge (minus those negative side effects of those “Social Networking” sites)

Now it’s my time to blog it forward to people that I know from LinkedIn, Twitter & Community ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I want to tag many other people, but I will wait for you guys to tag them ๐Ÿ˜‰

Punith Babu Midhun VPย venkata naresh kandukuruย Marco Beierย Mohit Bansalย Sumit Kumar Kunduย Maheshchandra VVNSย Carlos Rogganย Sebastiano Marchesiniย Tarun Jainย Sai Krishna Kowluriย Sitakant Tripathy Kishore Gokaraย Jerry Janda

  • How did you get into the world of SAP?(Your brief journey)

  • If you were given a chance to change something in your past, what would you do? (You can give a serious answer or a funny one, anything is fine ๐Ÿ™‚ )

  • Share a fun fact/story about yourself that people donโ€™t know

  • What is your biggest fear?

  • If you were given a chance to get the powers of a super hero or a super villain , whom will you select?

Choose any of the above questions or more questions and the blog structure(rules), checkout Susan Keohan‘s blog.

and Guys, don’t be lazy like me ๐Ÿ˜€ and come with your BIF post as soon as you can and let’s have some fun ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks for reading, Have fun!

Hi Mahesh Kumar Palavalli great to read a little bit about you and it's super, that you joined the #BlogItFoward initiative!

Your SAP Yalsah sounds also very interesting and I think I have already read it somewhere before but couldn't find it anymore. Would you mind adding a link where to find more information? Now, that it's online, is it possible for anyone "outside" of your local community to join?

      Thank you, Svea

That's a pretty great insight Mahesh Kumar Palavalli ย ?ย  Cool BIFย  ?

But here I don't want to miss that answer from you for your own question - "If you were given a chance to get the powers of a super hero or a super villain , whom willย you select ?"ย  ?ย

      Regards,

      Punith

?ย  There are many super heroes/villains that i can choose from different universes(including anime ? )ย  But I will restrict my answer to marvel..

I like the powers of Sebastian Shaw. Although he is a villain in the series, I really loved his cool power โ€œEnergy Absorptionโ€ , He can take any form of energy and convert into his own, for example, in comics he hits himself to walls to get energy and I really loved the way they portrayed him in the movie X-Men First Class.
