As the Global Enablement Lead for SAP S/4HANA Cloud, I recently identified a need across our Global teams to consolidate, standardize and streamline enablement information into one single place for new hires to access. With many new hires joining remotely, it is even more important that they have a quick and easy way to access the information they need.
Without trying to reinvent the wheel and with the help of each of the Regional Delivery Leads, their respective onboarding leads and in some cases, recent hires, I began taking suggestions for a streamlined way to funnel the most relevant and up-to-date information for SAP S/4HANA Cloud into one central location. The idea behind this is that the RVPs and onboarding leads would then distribute to their teams as they see fit.

What is the Digital Onboarding Guide?
The SAP S/4HC Digital Onboarding Guide consists of a collection of carefully curated, vetted pieces of the most up-to-date and relevant information for SAP S/4HANA Cloud. The ultimate goal is to provide new hires with a point of reference to help them navigate their first few months within the team.
Should it replace the current onboarding process within each region?
No. Each individual region provides its own comprehensive approach to onboarding. That is why the Guide is not a replacement for existing onboarding procedures carried out by the individual regions such as the buddy system, regular calls and/or job shadowing.
Will it be continuously updated?
Yes. Since the plan is to continuously update and build upon the material, my hope is that it will serve as a reference point beyond the initial onboarding stages. It can be updated at any time, so please do not hesitate to reach out to me if something needs to be added, corrected or removed.
Now that you are aware that the Onboarding Guide exists, I ask that you please Spread the Word since not everyone throughout the SAP S/4HANA Cloud ecosystem is aware that it is available as a resource. In some cases, it is possible that the Onboarding Guide may be beneficial to share with Partners as well.
