Helping Enterprise Support customers to put Integration at the heart of the Intelligent Enterprise
Integration remains a key pillar of SAP’s vision and strategy to deliver integrated end-to-end business processes across SAP, partner, and third-party applications. Previously, SAP published this Integration Strategy Paper which provides SAP’s comprehensive overview of our integration plan in the cloud and progress to date has been provided also.
Integration for SAP focuses on the significant value customers achieve from holistic technology and business process integration, SAP to SAP, but also to third-party applications and in hybrid customer landscapes. SAP Business Technology Platform, including the SAP Integration Suite, provides all capabilities for process-, data-, user- and analytics-centric integrations, enabling out-of-the-box integration for SAP-to-SAP scenarios and more than 160 connectors for third-party applications. No other vendor can deliver this deep business process integration across the entire value chain which goes far beyond the solely technical integration approaches of our competitors.
Across all these areas support is available for Enterprise Support customers. In 2022, we want to support customers in their journey to the cloud by providing a new pilot service to help customers effort the estimation required to migrate from their SAP Process Orchestration systems to the SAP Integration Suite. The service will provide a report that will estimate in a date range, the effort involved for customers to migrate their current integration scenarios from their PI/PO system to the SAP Integration Suite. Furthermore, for each individual interface given, we will provide a rating to advise which interfaces can and cannot be migrated presently to the SAP Integration Suite.
If you need more information on moving to the cloud, we have created a 1:1 session “Future-Proof Your Integration Strategy with SAP Integration Suite” to provide guidance for customers to help successfully transition from SAP Process Orchestration to the SAP Integration Suite. It provides information on the key actions required for a successful transition, knowledge on SAP’s roadmap for SAP’s integration platforms to help organizations plan for the journey ahead, building new integrations with the SAP Integration Suite and following best practices for moving existing integration scenarios to SAP Integration Suite. If needed, there is a 1:1 session “New features and Migration support to Process Orchestration 7.5” which provides customers with an overview of new features shipped and adapters supported with SAP Process Orchestration to migrate to the latest PO release.
We also support customers with their productive integration scenarios, both cloud and on-premise. For a general health check on your SAP Cloud Integration tenant, customers can book a SAP CQC Cloud Deployment Readiness for SAP Cloud Integration. The Continuous Quality Check Interface Management (CQC IFM) service helps customers by investigation and analysis of specific interfaces. The service helps to minimize potential risks during critical go-lives as well as during the operations phase of your solution and to increase technical stability, performance, throughput, and maintainability of your solution. This service is available for both specific cloud and on-premise interfaces. Please open an incident on component SV-BO-REQ or contact your SAP customer representative if you would like to book either service.
Furthermore, we want to highlight our successful Integration Black-belt Learning Program which allows customers gain a certification in SAP Integration topics. Here we see the value of the Integration Black-belt program. This has become the most popular Learning Program in the SAP Enterprise Support Value Map program and over 100 customers have obtained the digital badge certification. Through Value Maps, we also provide content for customers ramping up in integration through Learning Journeys. The learning journey SAP Integration Suite gives an update on the capabilities, strategy, roadmap, and guidance assets to get started with SAP Integration Suite. We have provided a learning journey on how to implement the different integration options to send data to/from SAP ERP HCM and SAP SuccessFactors. Finally, we have provided several learning journeys for ramping up in integration for the Customer Experience components such as SAP Sales Cloud, SAP Commerce Cloud, etc. prior to go-live.
To support customer adoption, we provided detailed integration content on onboarding to SAP Cloud Integration, setting up Transport Management for SAP Cloud Integration and configuring and utilising SAP Cloud Connector. After the initial set-up, we have provided help with developing integration flows. Furthermore, we help customers build enterprise-grade integration flows to support their mission-critical business processes though our introduction session to Integration Flow Design Guidelines.
For monitoring your Cloud integration scenarios, we have several offerings. Firstly, to understand the advantages and disadvantages of the different monitoring tools and which are suitable for the various integration personas, please see this blog. To learn the monitoring capabilities within SAP Cloud Integration, please see this webinar session. To configure SAP Solution Manager to help monitor your cloud integration scenarios, we have updated this Expert Guided Implementation service “Integration Monitoring and Exception Management for Cloud and Hybrid landscapes” to provide detailed information on the configuration required in SAP Solution Manager. Finally if you would like to learn about the integration monitoring functionality available to you through Cloud ALM including how to set this up, please see this SAP Cloud ALM: Onboarding Tutorial.
