Usually in sales process where in Route is determined automatically based on configuration, it is observed that below are the common issues faced by many customers in case route determination bases on multiple ship to party and sales document is created with reference document in cloud

Issue details

Ø Route is not determined even though all configuration is done

Ø Few sales document route is updated and not in others

Sales Document is determined with the correct route and route is not updated in case sales document is created with reference to contract and correct ship to party is updated at order level, then to route is not picked

Example

Contract is created

Here in contract the route is not updated, which is correct

Now create the sales order with reference to contract as show – choose the ship to party for which route is determined

Now choose the correct ship to party for which – route should determined

Here ship to is changed to TT-CUST2 instead of VAT TEST , pop up will come to confirm the reference document , copy the same

Now click on line item and shipping tab

Here we can see the route is not updated

Solution

Sales Document created in cloud with reference to contract document, wherein contract is not updated with route, that is why when sales document is updated with reference to contract the Route is not updated. For such cases the alternate is user can manually update the correct route or the reference should be correct i.e. updated with route as well

So, if the order is created directly without reference document, route will be updated in Sales order

In continuation to same example order needs to be created without reference by canceling reference as shown below

Now check the line item and shipping tab – Route is updated

In case of on-premise system ask with pop-up to update the route and other details .
