SAP Intelligent Product Design – Virtual Co-Innovation Council with our Customers
On May 5-6, SAP Intelligent Product Design (IPD) team conducted the 5th co-innovation council with our customers and partners, for the first time, in a virtual format.
SAP IPD helps you to accelerate smarter product innovation with multi-discipline collaboration, requirement-driven development of intelligent products, and live product intelligence across the value chain.
This time, our customers, partners and colleagues came together virtually for two days to test and validate our solution, discuss new innovations and roadmap.
We meet with our co-innovation customers and partners at least twice a year, this time – instead of Heidelberg, Germany – we could only meet in the virtual space.
Customer stories: we would like to especially thank our customer for the great presentation and for sharing their latest experiences with SAP Intelligent Product Design. We heard how a discrete industry manufacturer manages their design documents more efficiently with more than 200 active users, leveraging the collaborative capabilities of SAP IPD.
Sharing the latest developments: what is new since the last council we had in November? One aspect why customers like our co-innovation council is seeing how their feedback influences our deliveries. We shared the latest updates on Collaboration, Requirements Management and Systems Engineering.
Capturing customer needs: sharing our latest developments with our customers, not only in form of presentation but directly with hands on testing, and capturing feedback helps us to make sure we are going into the right direction and prioritize our backlogs accordingly. We collected the top likes and wishes for all scenarios tested by the participants and shared the feedback within the group after the testing session.
“Testing and timing was good, great progress since last year.”
“I’m impressed about the speed of devevelopment.”
In case you would like to explore how the solution can help your organization, I recommend having a look at our free SAP Intelligent Product Design Trial.
Using IPD in Discrete and Process Industries Scenarios: Our SAP team have shown how SAP IPD is used throughout the end-to-end business scenario for Design to Operate (Discrete Industry) and Design to Consume (Process Industry). They were our first customer base who had the first glimpse into our show showcase and was received very well.
Overall Feedback: In general, customers, partners as well as the SAP team liked the virtual event. The usability testing, the customer presentation and the roadmap discussions were also perceived very well.
“Great virtual event, I didn’t expect such.”
Despite the great virtual event, we are all looking forward to meeting each other in person at the next IPD Co-innovation council.
Stay healthy!
