SuccessFactors Onboarding 2.0 – Prepare for Day One Configuration

SuccessFactors Onboarding 2.0 – Prepare for Day One Configuration

In this blog we are going to discuss the basic configuration steps for SuccessFactors Onboarding 2.0 – Prepare for Day One. For the Onboardee this particular functionality defines what to bring on the first day of employment like Experience Certificate, Degree Certificate, Photo ID etc.

Let’s start the configuration:

Step 1: Add “New Hire Task” in the “Process Variant Manager”. Admin Center –> Process Variant Manager.

Step 2: Enable the Permission “Configuration for Prepare for Day One Task” for doing the configuration. Admin Center –> Manage Permission Roles

Step 3:  Prepare the “Prepare for day one lists”. Sample given below. Admin Center à Manage Onboarding 2.0 and Offboarding 2.0 Tasks & then Task Settings –> Prepare for day one lists.

For Default List 4 items have been configured.

Step 4: Set Up Business rule to assign the relevant list. Sample Rule given below. In the business rule we can add different conditions. Like for Company “XYZ” Candidate needs to bring 4 items for another company “ABC”5 items and so on. Also configured Onboarding data model can be used to add different conditions.

Admin Center –> Configure Business Rules.

Step 5: Configure Home Page & provide access for “Prepare for Day One” tile to the onboardee. Admin center –> Manage Home Page. Admin Center –> Manage Permission Roles

All Set. Let’s test.

Tested Onboardee belongs to United Kingdom Company & hence as per the business rule configured at step 4 it would show “DEFAULT” list (configured at step 3) which contains 4 items like Passport or other ID document, Business casual is fine, Wear comfortable shoes for the Campus tour & Experience Certificate.

Onboardee Home Page contains tile “Prepare for Day One”.

When Onboardee clicks the “Prepare for Day One” tile it shows the 4 items.
