Recognizing members who engage in our community in ways other than writing (Part 2)
This blog post repeats the text of Recognizing members who engage in our community in ways other than writing (Part 1), but contains the continuation of the list of member names.
You provide value. Yes, you.
Sometimes it may seem like we focus just on those members of our community who post content like blogs, or who answer questions. They get a lot of badges, and they are recognized weekly in my roundup blog posts.
And it’s true, we do spend time recognizing those members who contribute their time and knowledge here. Without them, we could have no community. There would be nothing to see here. Literally.
But there is another contingent of members who also contribute in a different way than posting. It’s those of you who consume what’s posted and provide your feedback by liking or commenting or voting on those posts. Without the feedback that you provide, there would be little incentive for contributing members to contribute.
This blog post, and the badge that it discusses, are for you, the “engagers” in our community. I’m referring to the Random Day Surprise badge, which we award sporadically as a fun way to recognize every member who participates in our community on a particular day that is kept secret until that day. This badge is for more members than just the ones who post.
Most recently, we awarded Random Day Surprise on April 27, International Morse Code Day. If you participated in our community on that day, you earned this cool badge (designed by our very own Caroleigh Deneen):
And now we intend to recognize you in this blog post. Thank you for your participation, and we hope you will continue to do the things that you do! You never know when the next Random Day Surprise may happen…
Members who participated in SAP Community on International Morse Code Day, April 27:
Note: If you earned any other badges last week in addition to this one, your name appears in my Weekly Mission & Badge Roundup post instead.
That's cool 🙂
There are/were 2 blogs I loved or still love - Nokia Conversations and SAP SCN.
Nice way to spend time learning and of course as you said commenting 😛

Dear Audrey Stevenson,
It's is been an honor to be a part of prestigious community network. i will keep sharing the knowledge and gaining the badge, although sometime due to complex project deadline and continuous engagement, it may not be possible to actively contribute to SCN but however every one should admits that SCN is a overall the best teacher for all of us.
