SAP recently conducted a webinar on What's new SAP IBP 2005 on 21st April. I picked some of the interesting features and thought to share with you here. For more detailed view and configurations of features please watch the recording and sneak preview of the release.
Intelligent Visibility App : The App is enhanced with supporting some maps (If you have license) and key Alerts from Order Based planning and Navigation options.
IBP Excel Add in : Is now not an add-on on EPM but independent from EPM with some new features like .
Web-Based Planning : The web based planning view now integrates and shows the Order data from OBP for certain Key Figures.
Product Life Cycle Assignment : Product references can be made at aggregated Product level can can be used during forecasting run.
Time Series Based Planning : Transportation and Production Calendars can be used in planning with TS Algorithms ( With some exceptions) . This way we get an opportunity to plan precisely for working days.

** Time Series Based Supply Propagation algorithm will not be available for Net New Installation from 2005 release on wards. Existing customers can continue using it.
Order Based Planning : Adjusted Key figures are split into Min and Max . Adjusted Stock transfer Quantities are introduced to support push deployment scenarios.
Manage User Permissions App : A new app for administrator to give overview of user centric authorizations.
Likewise there are many other features included from the areas of Demand Sensing , IO , DDMRP , Analytics and Dashboard etc.
