Insight Makes It Easier Than Ever for Clients to Manage Their Enterprise IT

Creating a one-stop e-procurement platform

When selling cloud subscriptions, Insight has two types of clients – the first buys direct from Insight while the second buys indirect through a global network of resellers.

To improve the procurement experience for all of its clients, Insight wanted to turn its online platform into a one-stop shop. In addition to simplifying initial purchases, it enables self-serve management of subscriptions, users, and license assignments through end-to-end automation for billing and provisioning with third-party service providers, regardless of the buying channel. Even clients buying indirectly through a reseller would have access to the same capabilities through a reseller-branded (white-label) storefront.

Working with the Customer First organization from SAP and its partner ECENTA AG, Insight combined the SAP Commerce Cloud solution with the SAP Customer Data Cloud and SAP Subscription Billing solutions to develop a new, globally integrated e-procurement platform; the first platform ever to integrate the two SAP Customer Experience solutions with SAP Subscription Billing.

To date, Insight supports clients from more than a dozen countries by helping them manage their Microsoft cloud subscriptions.

A win for Insight and its clients

In addition to delivering on its rigorous, client-first focus, the platform enables users to optimize the value of their subscriptions with embedded reporting and analytics. By integrating with an intelligent analytics platform, Insight will have deeper, more immediate visibility into which solutions businesses are buying and how they’re being used – increasing time to value with data-driven recommendations.

Insight will soon focus on incorporating additional product types and bundles, including numerous third-party software vendors, all automatically available to direct clients through the global reseller distribution channel.
