SAP Fiori for SAP S/4HANA – Customizing Multidimensional Reports in SAP Fiori On-Premise

Relevant for S/4HANA 1909, 1809, 1709

Update: Added transport assignment procedure

As part of the SAP S/4HANA RIG I’ve been able to support and guide customers with their questions around modifying or extending SAP Fiori apps. However, one of the most important use cases for extensibility comes with the use of Embedded Analytics in SAP S/4HANA as most companies want to deploy easy to consume analytics for their C-levels.

We’ve seen customers try out the standard delivered multidimensional reports and really like them, but it is also true that in most cases customers require additional information in the report and need to extend or customize these reports.

It is at this moment, when talking about the extension options for these reports, that long discussions take place as it could appear that modifying the source objects is complex, however, this should not be the case as SAP delivers extensibility tools for these scenarios which can help you deliver the required modifications with low effort and record breaking times.

The following videos take the concepts from my colleague Masaaki Arai‘s blog on Creating custom fiori multidimensional reporting application in S/4HANA On-Premise aiming to show the use of the following tools:

Option 1: Using In-App Extensibility to customize SAP standard analytic reports

Option 2: Adding Filters to a Standard Multidimensional Report in SAP S/4HANA On-Premise

Transporting Custom Queries using In-App Extensibility Tools

Good demo, but I have a question, How can we define the list of 'Jump TO' and parameter used.

I have create a Bex Query on top of a CDS View in S/4, I consume the Bex Query in FIORI with Fiori Design Studio Template.

Report works fine but when I try to do 'Jump to', parameter in URL are long UID and not GLACCOUNT=, COMPANY=,....

Due this issue, the Jump to open the correct transaction or report but can't pass the correct parameter. Have you an idea ?

      Best regards, Pat
