Did you mean:
Hello everybody,

This video gives you an overview of the key features offered by SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation. Throughout the video you’ll be able to quickly catch how the different components interact with each other.

Step 1: SAP Intelligent RPA Desktop Studio

The SAP Intelligent RPA Desktop Studio is the starting point for creating automations. This is where you:

  • Capture applications that your bot will interact with to perform the needed automation

  • Design scenarios and workflows telling precisely the RPA bot what to do

  • Test and debug your scenarios to be sure that your bot will be efficient and fast

When you have completed your scenario, you export it as a “project”.

Then you can import it to the SAP Intelligent RPA Cloud Factory as a “package”.

The SAP Intelligent RPA Desktop Studio is a very powerful tool, and the creation of a scenario is a long task that couldn’t be shown in detail in a quick overview video. To get more technical information on how to use the studio, have a look at the Desktop Studio Developer Guide on the SAP Help Portal. You’ll find different sections to learn how to capture, declare and control applications, how to design scenarios, how to mange custom UI pages with the Workflow Designer, or how to test and debug your scenarios.

Step 2: SAP Intelligent RPA Cloud Factory

The SAP Intelligent RPA Cloud Factory is hosted on the SAP Cloud Platform and lets you orchestrate automations and manage all associated resources. This is where you:

  • Deploy packages

  • Manage environments – sets of virtual machines for unattended bots or desktop PC for attended bots

  • Monitor jobs and agents

Log into the SAP Intelligent RPA  Cloud Factory and import the package from the previous step. You can now create a trigger for executing the automation.

As for the Desktop Studio, the video doesn’t show all the capabilities of the SAP Intelligent RPA Cloud Factory in detail. To get more information about these capabilities, refer to the SAP Intelligent RPA Cloud Factory User Guide.

Step3: SAP Intelligent RPA Desktop Agent

The SAP Intelligent RPA Desktop Agent is installed on your workstation for attended bots coworking with you, or on a virtual machine for autonomous unattended bots. It runs automation jobs that replicate human actions and perform routine, repetitive tasks. You connect your agent to the tenant on which it will execute the automation job. And select the agent's trigger mode. Let the automation begin!

Once again, for complete and detailed information about the Desktop Agent, check the SAP Intelligent RPA Desktop Agent User Guide.

Conclusion
