Great job on the 2.0 HANA Cockpit, but one question as you mention that with this version that for non prod this can be installed on a pre-existing system but on production it needs to have dedicated resources etc
So what are the recommended sizes then for dedicated resources, obviously 2 x resources for redundancy
So would be useful to put the size recommendations OS; filesystems etc
It is multiple tier with web app + XSA runtime + hana express db, I think you can also use existing hana db as cockpit persistence instead installing a new db in shared environment. But during provisioning a dedicated environment I didn’t see the option of sharing existing db.

Hi Fang,
How does security changes with SAP HANA cockpit 2.0? Can we manage roles and authorization for S4HANA & HANA database privileges through the cockpit?

Can cockpit be installed as a 3 tier setup ?
i.e the application part is on one server where as the persistence part is running on a tenant on a hana db running on another server ?
Hi Chandrakanth,
It is multiple tier with web app + XSA runtime + hana express db, I think you can also use existing hana db as cockpit persistence instead installing a new db in shared environment. But during provisioning a dedicated environment I didn’t see the option of sharing existing db.
Thanks,
