Recognizing our “engagers” (Part 1)

You may feel sometimes like we only ever recognize the members of our community who write blog posts or answer questions. It’s true that members who contribute that way get a lot of attention and recognition, since they are contributing their time and their knowledge here. We all need them in our community, or there would be no content to consume. That doesn’t mean, however, that we don’t value those of you who contribute in other ways, such as liking content, or voting on it.

This blog post, and the badge that it discusses, are for you, the “engagers” in our community. I’m referring to the Random Day Surprise badge, which we award sporadically as a fun way to recognize every member who participates in our community on a particular day that is kept secret until that day. This badge is for more members than just the ones who post.

Most recently, we awarded Random Day Surprise on March 4, also known as “March Forth,” International Game Masters Day. If you participated in our community on that day, you earned this cool badge (designed by our very own Caroleigh Deneen):
