SAP Live Class Hybrid – Find out how the new flexible delivery form supported to overcome travel issues during the storm

We all know what it’s like when you go on a course: you invest time in the scheduling, you travel to the training location, and you’re looking forward to a few days of learning and interaction with other course participants – so you’d be incredibly annoyed if the course couldn’t take place.

But that’s exactly what almost happened in the week when Storm Sabine hit Europe.

The instructor was unable to make it to Walldorf to teach a course, so the teams at the training centers in Walldorf and Vienna arranged for it to take place – as scheduled – via SAP Live Class Hybrid instead:

Cameras and Bluetooth speakers were installed in the classroom in Walldorf at short notice to connect with the instructor stuck in Vienna through SAP Live Class. This meant that the participants in Walldorf and the instructor at the Vienna training center were connected via an audio-visual link, making it possible for the course to take place despite the instructor and the participants being in different locations.

SAP Live Class Hybrid – what plans are there for the future?

We’ve already expanded our virtual SAP Live Class course program for 2020, and we’ll be adding SAP Live Class Hybrid dates in the coming months: As one of the first training providers to adopt this dual approach, we’ll be offering the scheduled courses at our state-of-the-art training center in Vienna for simultaneous virtual participation via SAP Live Class too.

This new hybrid learning approach gives you, our customers, more freedom to book courses – because, with SAP Live Class Hybrid, the choice is yours:

  • You can either attend the course on site in Vienna or
  • In a virtual classroom via SAP Live Class

No matter whether you join the course physically or virtually, you’ll be fully immersed and able to interact with the instructor and the other participants at all times.

Benefit from the innovative SAP Live Class Hybrid course dates – the choice is yours!

As an SAP instructor I can confirm that hybrid classes are a big hit with customers and they have told us so. I have delivered multiple hybrid classes to date, and for the instructor, there really is no difference teaching to a student in the classroom vs. remote. Everyone sees and hears everyone and each student receives the same learning outcome. All students are equal in a hybrid class.
