SAP Central Finance – What it can replicate?
During Central Finance projects we always have a challenge to understand what we can replicate from source systems and what cannot in terms of replication from source to Central Finance.
Master Data objects is the pre requisite for transactional data replication and can be replicated based on the method/tools which customer want to use. Recommended choice is SAP MDG but it is not the only option. Some master data objects are namely:
- Customer
- Vendor
- Material
- GL Accounts
- Cost Centres
- Profit Centres and more
Also this blog only focusses on replication of data in near real time and not the initial load. Initial load can be and is far different from replication.

Dear Nithin,
Thanks for the very informative blog.
I have a question. We have an SAP S/4 1909 system and we want to replicate GL Account to multiple target systems. Is there a generic Web Service available for this? Or should it be through MDG-F only? I have gone through all the documents and it is always referring to MDG-F based replication web services.
Thanks
Senthil

Could you elaborate more on Accounting view of logistic information - AVL?
https://blogs.sap.com/2021/03/28/avl-in-sap-central-finance/
Really useful information, could you also give us idea on what cannot replicated or limitations of replication.
Thanks in advance.
Hey Nitin,
Thanks for the Information.
Can you please write a blog stating Central Finance Capabilities by each S/4 HANA Release or It Could be a Video with Some Table to Clarify What are possibilities in Each S/4 HANA Releases from Central Finance Postings Perspective?
Thanks
Hi Nitu,
How can be replicated documents that were not copied from the source system for some month? This client could not replicate some CO documents (Business transactions KOAO and RKU) but now thery are flowing correctly from ECC to Central Finace, so they need to replicate the missing documents.
Is it possible that a filter could generate this issue? They do not know why the automatic replication did not update the target system and currently the configuration looks ok for master data and documents.
Thanks
