Finding the Equivalent SAP Fiori App with Classic T-Code in SAP S/4HANA Cloud – Part 1

Introduction

The first time you launch your SAP S/4HANA Cloud system, you might feel overwhelmed with the paradigm shift to SAP Fiori which has been implemented in SAP S/4HANA Cloud. Typically, one of the first hurdles you will be facing when you are starting your SAP S/4HANA Cloud journey, will be finding the adequate equivalent SAP Fiori app in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud system to the classic t-code you’ve been using in your onPremise system. In this blog series, we will see two things: first, how to identify the equivalent application (Part 1). Second, I will show you how to search for applications in your SAP S/4HANA Cloud system by just using the T-Code (Part 2).

Searching for T-Codes in the SAP Fiori apps reference library

The starting point for your search is the SAP Fiori apps reference library which is a comprehensive library of all relevant SAP content for the SAP Fiori launchpad. The SAP Fiori apps reference library provides the following information:

  • Overview of all SAP Fiori apps available as of today
  • Key information for each app, including the technical data you need for configuration (e.g. which business catalogs and business roles the application is assigned to)
  • Support information (such as the application component for incidents)

We will use the keyword search in the SAP Fiori apps reference library which is a quick and easy way to find apps for a specific purpose. The keyword search not only includes the names of apps, but also their descriptions and technical metadata, such as the name of OData services or SAP GUI transaction codes. For example, if you search for XD01, you get all apps related to transaction code XD01.

The steps are as follows:

  • Click on the Filter icon (at the bottom of the page)

  • Select Product Suite

  • Select SAP S/4HANA Cloud and click OK

  • Enter XD01 in the keyword search bar

Conclusion

That’s about it! In this blog post, we saw how to quickly identify which SAP Fiori application in SAP S/4HANA Cloud is the equivalent for a T-Code an onPremise system. The tool of choice to identify is the SAP Fiori apps reference library which comprises all relevant SAP content for the SAP Fiori launchpad. In Part 2, we will make use of this knowledge and see how to search for applications in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud system.

Good to know the app name can be found in this way. But seems the filter 'Product Suite' doesn't work currently thus 'SAP S/4HANA Cloud' cannot be selected. Would you please clarify with that?
