Solution for New GL Accounts not getting updated in BPC Optimized for SAP S/4 HANA

Introduction:

In BPC optimized for SAP S/4 HANA the new GL Accounts that we create might not appear in BPC after creating the GLs using the T-Code FS00. I have discussed about the solution for this problem in this blog.

Main Problem:

Each time when we create a new GL Account in SAP S/4 HANA, the GLs need to get automatically updated in BPC optimized for SAP S/4 HANA. The Master Records can be maintained using the T-Code FS00. There are some cases in which these GLs might not get updated and we have to do it manually.

Solution:

Follow the steps mentioned below in order to solve the Problem:

  1. Go to the T-Code HRRP_REP. The following screen appears:

  1. There are five sections available in the Screen: Hierarchy Creation, Hierarchy Deletion, Run Settings, Periodic Settings and Frequency.

In the Hierarchy Creation Section, enter the Hierarchy ID and the Valid from Date. Here, the Valid from date is used to mention the date from which the GLs created under the Hierarchy node needs to be updated. Hierarchy Deletion is used to delete the older hierarchy versions. You can use the Run settings to Run the Update in Foreground or Background or schedule it and make it run periodically.

In our case, we are manually going to replicate the runtime Hierarchy. So, enter the hierarchy ID and Valid from date and click on Execute button at the bottom of the screen.

  1. Once after performing the above steps, you can check if the new GL accounts are visible in BPC.

Conclusion:

So, in this blog we had seen how to update the GL accounts manually in BPC Optimized for SAP S/4 HANA. Please feel free to share if you have followed any other methods to do the same and share if you have any comments.

By the way, to my mind it's a good idea to remove "K1541" from your name. Looks strange...

Yes Vadim. I too felt the same. But it was created by my Organisation and I don't have access to remove it. I have raised this as a request to my organisation and waiting for this to be done soon.

Looks like you are using S-ID to login to Community! But it's a bad idea in general - when you change a company your account will be blocked! Use personal Community ID created using your own e-mail!

      Hi Akash,

I really appreciate the article, thanks for sharing these details, it helped a lot!

We faced with a problem when scheduling the job for this report in background though. Due to various requirements, we need to schedule this “sync” every 15 minutes and when I schedule it in background using custom Periods, the system is scheduling 2 jobs –

      1. FINS_REPLICATION_HIER_N – Does not Finish

      2. HRRP_REP_xxxxxx – Finishes after 10 seconds approx.

Have you faced any similar problems with this report? Will really appreciate your inputs.

      Thanks

      Abhi
