Filter settings determine the alert number in the launchpad tile SAP EarlyWatch Alert Workspace
Most likely you all know SAP EarlyWatch Alert; an automatic diagnostic service that monitors the essential administrative areas of an SAP system. SAP recommends that you consume the corresponding reports in the cloud-based SAP EarlyWatch Alert Workspace in the SAP ONE Support Launchpad.
Being a weekly service, SAP recommends to access the SAP EarlyWatch Alert Workspace once per week. In keeping with this, the Solution Finder displays new decisive red alerts first.
By default, you see alerts from all systems and customers you are entitled to. But often, you are interested in less. Here is where the global filter comes into play, so you can restrict the data to specific customers or systems (see also a corresponding video).
You can save these filter settings as a view and even set the view as default, so the filter is still valid when you call the app next time (see also this cookbook).
All this may be useful, but it isn’t exactly new.
New is that the default view determines the number of the new decisive red alerts in the launchpad tile SAP EarlyWatch Alert Workspace – only alerts that meet the filter settings are counted:
This means for you that even without launching the SAP EarlyWatch Alert Workspace, you can see in the launchpad the number of new decisive red alerts in systems you are interested in – and if the number is zero it saved you one step of work.
