Introduction

SAP Intelligent RPA Store is released since January 2020 to provide free content to SAP Intelligent RPA users. It is available in all SAP Intelligent RPA landscapes including trial. In this blog, I would like to show you how to use the SAP Intelligent RPA store within a trial subscription.

Prerequisite

You first need to create an SAP Cloud Platform trial account and subscribe to SAP Intelligent RPA. Please follow the instructions on the dedicated blog to learn how to create a free trial subscription. You can also find the detailed procedure in this link on the Help Portal.

Browsing the Store

Once you have logged into your trial account and launched SAP Intelligent RPA Factory, you can navigate to the Store tab and start browsing the available content, as shown below.

The filter on the left-hand side allows you to filter content based on their categories, Line of Businesses and Industries. The search bar can also be used to search content based on keywords.

Get Package from the Store

Click on any of the tile in the exploration page to navigate to the relevant package. In this blog, I will open the package “Hello World” in the SAP Intelligent RPA store:

In this detailed view of the package, you can see the content of the package, including the scenarios, the desktop packages and all the available files.

Click on the “Get” button on the upper-right corner to get the store into your tenant. You will be redirected to the Acquisition sub-tab of SAP Intelligent RPA store that shows the status of your package acquisition. You can refresh this page and the status of acquisition will pass from Ongoing to Success.

Using Store Package in Your Tenant

After the package acquisition becomes successful, you can go to the Packages tab of SAP Intelligent RPA Factory and observe that the acquired package is available there. Visually, packages that come from the Store are different from the packages created inside the tenant itself; they’re associated with a store icon and linked to the associated store package.

Once you open a store package in the Factory, you can access the content. For example, by opening the “Hello World” package, you will be able to download the configuration guide and the desktop project archive:

  • The configuration guide provides documentation to use the content;

  • The desktop project archive contains the effective package content; you download this project and open it using the SAP Intelligent RPA Desktop Studio for testing and customization.

Every store package contains a configuration guide that helps users to understand the available artifacts and how they can be customized and used.

You can find more information  in this blog to learn how to use the SAP Intelligent RPA tools.

Conclusion

Congratulations! Now you have learnt to use content from SAP Intelligent RPA store to bootstrap your own projects. The SAP Intelligent RPA store contains only samples and templates provided by SAP teams. Some samples are about how to use SAP Intelligent RPA, others show how to integrate SAP Intelligent RPA with other SAP applications, like S/4Hana for instance.

New content will be regularly added to the SAP Intelligent RPA store, please stay tuned to get the new resources. The documentation for SAP Intelligent RPA is available on SAP help portal.
