The content of this blog is about the old version of Release Assessment and Scope Dependency Tool and, hence outdated.
Please refer to this blog to know about the latest version.

In this blog, we are going to introduce the Release Assessment and Scope Dependency tool to the S/4HANA Cloud Community and share the new functionality available on the tool with the 2002 release.

One of the challenges that customers face is in being able to consume SAP S/4HANA release information which is provided to the them with every quarterly upgrade of S/4HANA Cloud and what they need to do, in testing for example. The Release Assessment tool enables customers to visualize their S/4HANA scope, understand the changes and new functionality available with an upgrade and also guides them on potential innovations or new scope items that might be relevant to them

The S/4HANA Cloud Release Assessment and Scope Dependency tool (RASD) was launched with the 1905 release last year with this vision. The tool is relevant for S/4HANA Public Cloud customers and is available for customers, partner consultants and SAP Internal employees. In case of customers the analysis is based on activated scope while for partners and SAP internals the analysis is based on the overall S/4HANA Cloud scope.

. The tool has the following salient features

  • Personalized scope analysis for customers based on activated business processes

  • Option to view changes to business processes by Line of Business, Country, and Category of Changes

  • Suggestions on where to focus testing efforts based on degree of change and impact of change to the scope items.

What's New in RASD with the 2002 release?

The following new information will be available.

Localization Information: Additional information on what specific localization content is available as well as which scope items are being extended.

API related updates: The tool now provides for more detailed information on each changed API such as API ids, specifications, operations and documentation via the API Hub

Language Support: With 2002 the tool will be available in German and Japanese languages as well.

How do you access the tool?

Access to the tool is available to everyone, be it partner or customer or an internal employee and the tool can be accessed from the following link www.sap.com/rasd , using their S-User email id and password or their SAP email id and Password. For Customized access, customers are requested to work with their CEEs / CSMs who can request this for them.

Hope you enjoy using the tool! To provide feedback or for any support please reach out to the RASD support email id support_RASD@sap.com
